From: B-natriuretic peptide serum levels in neonates with persistent pulmonary hypertension
Comparisons of B-natriuretic peptide (BNP) serum levels among patients that showed complete remission after treatment and those who did not show complete post-treatment remission. Both patients who experienced remission and those who did not experience remission after treatment showed a significant reduction of post-treatment BNP serum levels compared to pre-treatment levels. However, the group of patients who showed remission had lower pre-treatment and post-treatment BNP serum levels, compared to patients who did not show complete remission
